The Grey Cup!
It's Bob Hanscom Mortgage Agency tradition to get together for the Grey Cup.
We all put our nickels in for the football pool, cheer way too loud (and occasionally boo), eat too many good things. All around, it's a great time and we've been doing this for as long as we can remember.
Did you know the first CFL Grey Cup was before WW1? December 4, 1909, the University of Toronto Varsity Blues defeated Toronto Parkdale Canoe Club. Although the first Grey Cup game was in 1909, there were none during segments of the war from 1916 to 1919. Meaning we are currently about to watch the 102nd Grey Cup!
The Grey Cup is Canada's most watched televised sporting event, topping hockey at approximately 4 million viewers per year.
Governor General Albert Grey, whom the cup was named after, we are sure is very proud!
Enjoy the weekend!! And the game!
